According to a report in USA Today, Alejandro Mayorkas, Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security, announced today that the Obama administration is proposing changes intended to help professional workers and their families. One of the two proposed measures would allow H-4 visa holders whose spouses are in the process of seeking permanent residence to apply for work authorization.
