Applicants for Permanent Residence under the Immigrant Investor (EB-5) Program must file their EB-5 petition on Form I-526. If approved, these applicants may apply for permanent residence and are issued a 2-year Conditional Resident Card. Three months before the expiration of their Conditional Resident Card, they must file a Petition to Remove the Conditions on their Residence on Form I-829. If the I-829 is approved, they receive a 10-year, renewable permanent resident card and may later apply for citizenship in the United States if desired.
Investment Projects seeking to receive designation as a regional center must file an Application for this designation on Form I-924 and subsequently file Form I-924A by December 29th of each year in order to report their investor data and project status.
